Once you click on any of the Webklipper menu options in your plugin, the webpage content gets duplicated in a new tab with your changes applied to it. Webklipper plugin for Firefox

1. Download the plugin.
2. Firefox would show you a prompt like the one below:

Click "Allow".
3. Next the plugin installation prompt would show up, as shown below :

Click "Install Now".
4. Congratulations! You now have the Webklipper plugin installed in your browser:

Click "Restart Firefox".

Now your plugin is ready for use. Perfom a right click anywhere in your browser. Notice the 4 Webklipper menu options at the bottom of the menu (see image below-left).
  1. Highlight selection: Once you perform a right click after selecting some content on the page, this option gets enabled (see image on the right). Click "Highlight selection" to get a unique URL for this page with your content highlighted.
  2. Extract selection: This option gets enabled once you perform a right click after selecting some content on a page (see image on the right). Click "Extract selection" to copy the content you have selected into a new page and get a unique URL for just the extracted content. You can share it with your friends.
  3. Open in Webklipper: You can take this option to open your current page inside Webklipper. Once you are inside Webklipper, you can add highlights and comments to this page. Webklipper will generate a unique URL for you to share with your friends too! If you take this option after right clicking on a link, Webklipper would follow and open the link (and not the current page).
  4. Create your own page: Webklipper makes it damn easy to create a private webpage with any content you like - a silly joke, a brand new story, your office gossip, a confidential document or a piece of source-code ... anything ... almost anything! Webklipper gives you a unique URL to your page. You can share with your friends. Create your own klip now. Its fun!
  5. MyKlips: Webklipper stores all the klips your have created (via the plugin as well as from the Webklipper site). You might want to bookmark the MyKlips URL - http://webklipper.com/me.

Accelerator for Internet Explorer 8

1. Download the accelerator.
2. Your browser would show a confirmation prompt like this:

Click "Add". Don't forget to check the "Make this my default ..." option. It does not change anything with your existing accelerators because Webklipper will get added into a brand new category.

Congratulations! You now have the Webklipper accelerator installed in your browser.
The "Open in Webklipper" option on your right click menu is always enabled. It can be used in 3 different ways:
  1. Right click anywhere on the page: You can take this option to open your current page inside Webklipper. Once you are inside Webklipper, you can add highlights and comments to this page. Webklipper will generate a unique URL for you to share with your friends too!
  2. Right click with content selected: Taking the "Open in Webklipper" option would basically act as "Extract selection". The content you have selected would get copied into a new page and you'll get a unique URL for just the extracted content. You can share it with your friends!
  3. Right click on a link: Clicking on "Open in Webklipper" would make Webklipper follow the link and open it inside Webklipper. You can then add highlights and comments to the page. Webklipper would generate a unique URL for you. You can share it with your friends.
